Strandvägen Pavilion A, Stockholm: a glazed waterfront pavilion with Schüco AS FD 75 folding sliding doors and a Schüco AOC facade, made in Liepāja.
About the project
Strandvägen Pavilion A is a long, single-storey pavilion on the Strandvägen quay in Stockholm, at Strandvägen 23, SE-114 56. The whole front of the pavilion is glazed with Schüco AS FD 75 folding sliding doors.
The folding doors open to almost the full width of the front, so the pavilion can be opened towards the quayside. AS FD 75 has 90 mm face widths and virtually 100% opening width. The frames are powder-coated green, and a band of clerestory windows runs along the top of the building.
The project combines the AS FD 75 doors with the Schüco AOC add-on facade construction, an add-on facade system for steel or timber substructures. It was produced in Finestra Solution's factory in Liepāja, Latvia.
